META ADS & AD CREATIVES
Earn attention.
Attract the right enquiry.
Facebook and Instagram advertising can generate interest without generating suitable customers. Better lead quality begins with a clear audience, an honest offer, relevant creative and a next step that helps people understand whether the service fits. Evaluate completed, qualified enquiries rather than clicks or cheap form submissions alone.

This guide explains how to investigate unsuitable leads, test hooks and images with a clear purpose, and prepare a consistent Black Friday campaign.
01
Why do your Facebook ads generate few suitable leads?
Define “suitable” before judging the campaign. An enquiry might need to match your service, delivery area, project scope and capacity. Use consistent criteria and record why enquiries do not fit. This helps distinguish a targeting problem from a misleading offer, a weak form or slow follow-up.
The ad attracts the wrong expectation
A broad promise or giveaway can attract people interested in the incentive rather than the service. Explain who the offer is for and what happens after they enquire. Do not imply a free service when the next step is only a consultation.
The next step does not establish fit
Ask only for information that helps the next conversation. A relevant question about the service needed or project scope may help qualification. More fields can also discourage suitable customers, so assess both completion and quality.
The lead journey loses context
Check that contact details reach your team and that the follow-up refers to the advertised offer. Record response times and enquiry outcomes. A suitable customer can be lost after the ad has done its job.
Cheap leads can still be expensive customers
Hypothetical example: campaign A costs €100 and produces 20 enquiries, of which two are qualified. Campaign B costs €100 and produces 10 enquiries, of which five are qualified. A has a lower cost per enquiry (€5 versus €10), while B has a lower cost per qualified enquiry (€20 versus €50). Neither result proves profitability: you still need customer conversion and delivery-margin data. These are illustrative figures, not KOAT results or prices.
Check the campaign and the business records together
Review the objective and measured event with the person managing the account. Check whether reported results represent clicks, submitted forms or another action. Then compare them with actual enquiry records. A dashboard cannot tell you that a lead fits your business unless that outcome is defined and measured.
- Which services, locations and project types can you actually accept?
- Does the ad make those boundaries understandable?
- Does the form or landing page explain the next step?
- Are completed enquiries recorded without obvious duplicates?
- Why were leads classified as unsuitable, and were they contacted?
- Which costs are media spend, and which are management or creative fees?
There is no universal Meta Ads price or lead-cost benchmark that determines success for every business. Agree on a spending limit and business outcome, and account for creative, management and landing-page costs separately.
02
How do you test hooks, images and offers?
A hook is the opening message that gives someone a reason to pay attention. Test it against a specific hypothesis. Choose the decision you want to make, change one meaningful factor and keep the other important conditions comparable. If you change the hook, image and offer together, you can compare complete concepts, but cannot reliably identify which element caused the difference.
Hook test
Keep the image and offer consistent. Compare two ways of introducing the same need, such as a customer question versus a description of the desired outcome. Avoid fear, exaggerated results or claims you cannot support.
Image test
Keep the message and offer consistent. Compare a relevant product or service image with a process illustration. Use assets you have permission to advertise with and make essential text readable on a phone.
Offer test
Hold the audience and core creative approach comparable. Test genuinely different offers only when the business can fulfil both. Define how you will compare qualified enquiries, sales and margin rather than clicks alone.
Write a test brief before you launch
Use a small set of purposeful variants rather than splitting a limited budget across many ideas. Your account’s available experiment tools and delivery settings need checking before calling a comparison a controlled A/B test. Ordinary ad delivery can distribute exposure unevenly.
- Hypothesis: what do you expect, and why?
- Variable: what changes between versions?
- Controls: what needs to remain comparable?
- Outcome: what counts as a completed and qualified enquiry?
- Budget and review: what can you afford, and when will you assess the data?
- Limitations: what could prevent a confident conclusion?
Do not declare a winner from a handful of clicks. Allow for the sales cycle, uneven delivery and small samples. Record inconclusive results as inconclusive. The method above is practical planning advice, not a promise of statistical certainty or improved performance.
03
How do you prepare Black Friday ads?
Start with the offer and its fulfilment, then build the creatives and landing page around the same message. A seasonal campaign should help customers understand a real benefit. Do not invent a discount, deadline or limited availability to create urgency.
Confirm the offer
Approve the actual price or benefit, eligible services or products, dates, exclusions and capacity. Decide who answers enquiries and how bookings or orders will be handled. Check conditions before writing promotional claims.
Prepare a coherent creative set
Use a recognisable colour palette, typography and offer wording across variants. Make the main benefit and next step clear. Preview each asset in its intended placement so crops or interface overlays do not hide important content.
Match the landing page
Repeat the advertised offer accurately, explain its conditions and give one clear next step. Check mobile readability, form completion and confirmation. Ensure any real deadline uses a clear date and relevant time zone.
Work backwards from the launch
Use the campaign’s confirmed start date to plan approvals, asset production, page preparation and testing. Leave time to fix errors before paid traffic arrives. For campaigns serving Suriname and the Netherlands, verify language, eligibility, currency and service availability for each audience rather than assuming one offer fits both.
- Approve offer conditions and delivery capacity.
- Write the campaign message and a small set of testable variants.
- Prepare and review creative crops for the intended placements.
- Check that the ad and landing page use the same terms.
- Test the enquiry or purchase journey and its measurement.
- Assign responsibility for monitoring, responses and ending expired offers.
A service business does not need to copy a retail discount campaign. If a discount does not fit the service or margin, choose a truthful alternative benefit that the business has approved, or do not run a seasonal promotion.
